Daughter. Sister. Friend. Coworker. Partner. Wife. Mother.
Born in Orange County, California but transplanted to South Jacksonville Beach, Florida, I followed my heart (and ignored my mother) to find my happily ever after.
I have a threenager named Decker, and before you ask: I named her a “boy’s name” so she could submit her resume for a CEO position in a Fortune 500 and no one would know she’s a woman and try to hold her back. I envision her walking in for her interview, and the interviewer looking up and going “Decker?” — her smiling like Julia Roberts when she returned to the boutique with the bitchy clerks — and then I picture my girl wowing them with her overall Deckerness. I like to consider her name my “F U” to any glass ceiling trying to hold my daughter down. Also, I grew up with no other girls around me named Kara - and I loved being the only one of my kind.
My husband, Kyle Bosworth, is a lifelong UCLA Bruin like myself and an ex-Jaguar/Giant/Cowboy in the NFL. He’s a current realtor for Redzone Realty Group, a company he co-operates with his former teammate Jason Babin. Hailing from a city outside of Dallas called Plano, Texas, my guy is a southern gentleman with the body and jaw of a Greek God - according to my thirsty mother and confirmed by me, her thirsty daughter. He’s the nicest man I’ve ever met and I’m so glad he puts up with my shit.
